Built by a software engineer — the speed, security, and ownership most Denver WordPress shops can't deliver.

WordPress you own — outright.
WordPress runs a huge share of the web for a reason: flexible, open-source, and — when it's self-hosted — genuinely yours. No proprietary platform holding your site hostage, no monthly ransom to keep it online, no “you can't export that.” It's yours.
The difference is who builds it.
Most Denver WordPress sites come out of a template shop: a theme dropped in, a dozen plugins stacked on top, and nobody who can fix it when it slows to a crawl or gets hacked. Yours is built by a software engineer who understands what's happening under the hood, paired with our Head of Design so it looks as good as it runs.
When WordPress isn't the answer, we'll say so.
If your project genuinely needs custom software, we'll tell you — and we can build that too.
Frequently asked questions
What is WordPress web design?
WordPress web design is building a website on WordPress — the open-source software that runs a large share of the web. When it's self-hosted (not a locked platform), you own the site, the content, and the hosting outright. We design it around your business rather than dropping in a stock theme, then engineer it for speed and security. The result is a site you control, not one you rent.
Do professional web designers use WordPress?
Yes, widely — WordPress powers a large portion of professional sites because it's flexible, open-source, and doesn't lock you in. The difference is in how it's built: many shops assemble a theme and stack plugins on top, while we build it engineered — designed by our Head of Design and built by a software engineer who understands what's happening under the hood. Same platform, very different result.
How much does a WordPress website cost?
It depends on scope — a straightforward business site and a complex, custom-built one are different projects, so a single number would be guessing. We scope the build to what you actually need and quote it after a free strategy call, in plain terms, before you commit. You'll own the finished site outright, with no ongoing platform fee just to keep it online.
WordPress vs Squarespace vs Wix — which should I choose?
It depends on what matters most to you. Squarespace and Wix are genuinely good for a simple site you build yourself fast — but you're renting a platform you don't fully control and can't freely export. Self-hosted WordPress takes more skill to build well, but you own it outright and can customize anything. If you want a simple DIY site and never plan to move, a hosted platform is reasonable; if you want control, speed, and ownership, WordPress wins. We build WordPress because ownership is the whole point.
Is WordPress web design the same as development?
Not quite — they overlap. "Design" is how the site looks and feels; "development" is the engineering that makes it work, load fast, and stay secure. A lot of WordPress work is really just theme assembly, with neither done deeply. We do both properly: designed by our Head of Design, built by a software engineer — so it looks right and runs right.
Do I actually own my WordPress site?
With self-hosted WordPress, yes — you own the site files, the content, and the hosting relationship outright. That's the core reason we build this way. It's open-source and portable, so nothing holds your site hostage: no proprietary platform you can't leave, no monthly ransom just to keep it online, no "you can't export that." It's genuinely yours.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Yes — optionally. You own your site outright, so you're never locked into a maintenance contract to keep it running. But if you'd rather not manage updates, security, and small changes yourself, we're here for that too — ad-hoc when something comes up, or on a recurring basis if you'd prefer it handled. Ownership and maintenance stay separate: the site is yours either way, and ongoing help is there if you want it, not a requirement.
